Well, you can cause a detoxification of these stored uric acids by eating too much red meat.

So, if you have a higher ratio of more alkalinizing minerals like in fish, you can attract some of those acids out of there, so there's less soreness and swelling.

Also, eating cheese draws it to the intestines.

So, those will help reduce the discomfort.
